Hey Internet!
This weekend was great. I write this as I enjoy the amazing new work from Girl Talk!
I spent saturday in Long Beach recording some new music for “Birds and Bicycles.” It was really fantastic. We ended up getting a lot of work done. I recorded a song that I had been working on since I left the ship. It is a simple little number with just me and an uke. It is called, “Four Dollar Ferry Ride to Hamiltown.” Then we worked on one of Wong’s songs, “Sailor Swift.” Both of them came together quite nicely. Hopefully we can get those finished up soon. And we will finally finish the record 4 years in the making. Maybe even prove to some people that we can still make good music.
Saturday night we went out in Costa Mesa with my buddy Peter. We had a blast at this tacky little place called, “La Cave” I kept calling it the french cave. I am pretty sure that is a perfect translation.
Today was mellow. I went out to whole foods and got in some healthy shopping. I mean, I bought an organic jug of apple juice the size of my head. That means two things: 1. Gonna be fully of nutrients 2. It may or may not blow out the back of me.
Then I just laid low until around midnight. That is when Wongzilla and I played a very late round of catch out in the abandon parking lot. (our own privately lit sandlot)
Tomorrow, I am getting my gym membership finally. Then gearing up for my show on tuesday.
Goodnight love:
The Los Angeles Project
PS: I am sick of feeling like I have to be winning at any given time in this race. I need to take my own advice. I have stopped caring, that means I will always be winning. I love you so much internet. I am giving you a major treat. Well, Jessie (the.robot) is giving you a major treat.
